poems by Donald James Dolby
Now - We Are United
A great trade union has been forged
from many trades and skills
All have come together
to fight society's ills.
Unite the Union bears the proud tradition
of all its many parts
To the future it will carry
the struggle in our hearts.
Its members are the bedrock
- the union proud and true
For whatever name a union takes
it is only there for you.
Unite will be a powerful force
- its banners be unfurled
For workers throughout the land
- and all across the world.
