poems by Donald James Dolby
Another Christmas Day
Sparkling frost and shining snow
Conceal the scars of the world below
Conflicts rage, ill winds blow
Just another Christmas Day.

Twinkling lights and ringing bells
Cannot hide a thousand hells
That men create for themselves
Just another Christmas Day.

But wait . . . is that eternal hope I hear
Coming in with this new year
Can we really put an end to fear
Dare we hope that we will learn
That we do not have to slash and burn
That people working together can earn
A better Christmas Day.
