The Bells Ring Clear
Can you hear the bells ring clear?
And is that what you want to hear?
Can you hear the voices loud
From those who wish to make us proud
That we can bomb and shoot and kill
So their pockets they can fill.

Can you hear the bells ring clear?
Bringing all that Christmas cheer
Can you feel the shaking ground?
Seems to me there is no sound
Like crashing stone and breaking bone
Just don't tell the folks back home.

Can you hear the bells ring clear?
Can you smell the hurt and fear?
Are you safe and snug and warm?
Do you think of those who face the storm?
Flatten homes and lives destroy
Can't we all have Christmas joy?
