poems by Donald James Dolby
Christmas Unfinished
Silver diamonds on the ground
Herald winter's dawn once more
The sun still bright but not
Too warm - toes and fingers need to thaw.

Scraping windows as engines warm
Penetrates your cocoon of duvet down
Thirty minutes more you contemplate
Before you have to join the queue to town.
