poems by Donald James Dolby
Everybody Wants To Be A Gipsy
Do you really want a millstone round your neck
To weigh you down,
Not let you live
The life you should enjoy.

Do you really want a mortgage on your home
To make you work
Not do the things
In life you should enjoy.

Do you really want a job for life or more
That keeps you poor
And makes you work
For the boss to life enjoy.

Do you really want to retire and not afford
Things you want to do
And all your life you thought
Later you would enjoy.

Or would you really want to live your whole life through
Roaming here and there again
I think I know its true
Everybody wants to be a gipsy free.
